COERR Kanchanaburi Organized Disaster Prevention Training: Fire, Flood & Landslide

Realizing that natural disasters are likely to happen everywhere including the border areas, COERR Kanchanaburi deemed it necessary to prepare refugees in camps for prevention in order to reduce damages and loss, so Disaster Prevention Training was organized in Ban Tham Hin camp, Suan Phueng District on July 21st and 22nd, 2014 and in Ban Don Yang camp, Sangkhlaburi District, Kanchanaburi Province on July 30th and 31st, to raise awareness of refugees in Fire, Floods and Landslides Disasters. There were totally 300 refugees being trained in Ban Tham Hin camp, being divided into 2 groups of 150 attending one-day training, and also 2 groups totaling 310 refugees in Ban Don Yang camp. The knowledge about risk reduction should be useful while living in camps as well as when moving to the third country or repatriation.
